First things first:
Our focus is discovering, developing and guiding talent to ultimately being connected with and part of top tier talent agents and representatives.
We're NOT an agency. We're not here to tell you to sign up with us and we'll make you a star! We're not going to try and convince you to work with us and ask you for large amounts of money for "fees" and for putting your pictures on a website or for random photo shoots in our office. We don't hide anything and we're not attempting to hit you with scam tactics at some point after we've lured you in.
Accent Talent offers a monthly workshop/class hosted by one of the top rated photographers in the market who happens to also be a parent to 2 successful child models in NYC.
The workshops focus is guiding people on the path to success with the right industry information, tools, training, connections and resources to enter the industry as a professional. What we provide goes way beyond just the photos and is equally if not even more important.
In addition, part of our mission is to educate parents/models about the industry and teach how to identify and avoid scams and less than reputable companies looking to just make a buck.
There are TONS of questions and it can all be very confusing:
Where do I start? How does this work? How do I get an agent? Which agencies do I go to? How do I approach them? What are they looking for? What type of pictures do I need? How many? Does my kid/teen have what it takes?

Accent provides young talent with the proper tools and training to take their first steps into the entertainment industry. Professional photos including headshots, modeling photos/digitals as well as model training and on-camera training.
The entertainment/modeling business is a BUSINESS! It's not just about a certain look and it's not about hoping to be discovered! It's about PREPARATION & DEDICATION! First, you have to the desire to get in! Then, you have to prepare for the industry you've chosen.
MODELING:
Again, it's NOT just about looks. There are all types and different looks that are successful models.
It's not just runways and fashion.
There are numerous opportunities to work as a model in different genres such as commercial, print, runway, plus size and petite.
It's NOT just about your pictures.
It's about the type of pictures you need for what you're trying to get into and it's about getting the professional, high quality images to represent yourself and be within industry compliance standards.
It's not just looking good in front of the camera and it's not as easy as it looks! It takes training and practice to understand posing, movement and angles. It takes study to understand lighting and knowing how to work with photographers. Many great looking models fail to become successful simply because they do no not how to work in front of the camera.
Most important: It's about PROFESSIONALISM and knowing how to work with other professionals in the industry. Knowing the business. Knowing what's expected of you. Knowing what agencies expect and how they operate. Being prepared. Being on time and working with the numerous professionals who collaborate on different assignments.
